UNHCR Partnership Milestone

In partnership with UNHCR, BCom provided satellite communications for refugee operations following a tsunami in Indonesia, enabling immediate recovery by restoring vital connectivity to support rescue and coordination efforts. This deployment marks BCom’s entry into humanitarian satellite solutions and strengthens its position as a trusted partner for mission-critical communications.

Geneva Facility Transformation

Geneva Facility Transformation: The Geneva hub has evolved into a comprehensive procurement, integration, and testing center following a major contract with the ICRC to manage the design, procurement, and logistics of 380 global sites. Given the diverse geographic and climatic conditions of deployment, BCom developed specialized crating solutions tailored to various transportation modes and aircraft types, weatherized electronic components to ensure durability, and implemented precise labeling systems to guarantee accurate routing and dispatch upon arrival. The facility also oversees the integration of essential materials—including cables and connectors—to enable swift, reliable on-site installation.

Major Transformation in Field Services

BCom has established strategic multi-year partnerships with two of the world’s leading satellite operators, providing continuous, mission-ready technical resources that support the full spectrum of satellite operations—from standard network deployments to advanced motorized and redundant antenna systems, including MEO platforms. These agreements enhance operational agility and ensure rapid intervention capabilities, giving operators a competitive edge in global missions. Complementing this, BCom has built a Global Partner Network of qualified contractors and local resources worldwide, which is actively supported and monitored to maintain consistent quality and peak performance. This network delivers cost-effective, reliable, and efficient on-site support with comprehensive coverage, allowing us to consistently meet stringent SLA requirements with response times under four hours across all regions.

European Broadcast Union (EBU)

Delivery of a high-end turnkey design, procurement, and installation project for the media industry, meeting the exacting standards of a highly sensitive sector. Covering 57 sites across Europe, the project was executed in partnership with Newtec and underscores BCom’s ability to collaborate with leading technology providers to successfully deliver complex, high-performance solutions.

Enhancing Grid Resilience

BCom played a crucial role in enhancing grid resilience across France in response to the EU’s Network Code on Emergency and Restoration (Regulation 2017/2196), which requires transmission and distribution operators to implement robust blackout recovery and emergency plans. Partnering with France’s major telecommunications and electricity providers, BCom designed and delivered two advanced satellite communication systems built to withstand extreme weather, including high wind speeds up to 240 km/h, snow, and heat. With over 2,000 deployments nationwide, our solutions proved their reliability during major events, such as the Ciarán storm in 2023, keeping critical operations and emergency response systems connected when they were needed most.

Expansion into Managed Services

BCom established a world-class operational structure, creating a Center of Excellence staffed with specialized satellite and RAN engineers. Our solution combined a central service desk model with a hybrid network of local permanent resources and in-country partnerships, providing seamless, compliant on-site support across a wide geographical footprint. BCom did not merely implement processes; we tailored and streamlined them, utilizing proprietary monitoring tools and dashboards to achieve superior productivity, accuracy, and scalability. Execution was completed ahead of schedule, transforming the operational vision into a living, high-performance global service model with point of presence across the globe.

Enabling Enterprise-Grade Private 4G/5G

BCom extended its capabilities in satellite and terrestrial network integration by launching tailored Private 4G/5G and WLAN Network Solutions. This marked a major step in enabling customers to modernize and secure their operational technology environments, leveraging extensive experience in high-availability, multi-orbit satellite backhaul. We don’t just deploy local wireless, we solve the connectivity gap.
